At the Closing of a Year

2013

This year has been full of moments that will change me forever. I will never forget 2013 and the impact it has made in my life.

We started out the year with the news of a new little Oliver coming into the mix. I was sure it was a boy due to the fact my pregnancy was so different then the other 4. Daniel was not so sure and figured that with stats it would be another girl. On     we had a baby reveal....

Daniel was right and so Nolanee Danielle Oliver was going to be our fifth little girl!!!

In May my dear mothers condition took a turn for the worse. Her dementia had taken the best of her and it was difficult for my father to continue caring for her. We had no choice but to put her in a home where she would have better care. On May 17th with my father and I near her my mother took her last breath. There are no words to describe the impact that has had in my life. This terrible disease took my best friend away and I will learn now how to live half alive for I can never be complete with out her.

In July we were surprised by Nolanee who came 5 weeks early. We were woken up on July 20th at 4 in the morning by someone in our neighborhood shooting fireworks. I quickly realized she wasn't moving. We went to the hospital and figured it was a false alarm. They notice on the monitor her heartbeat would drop and come back up. The ultrasound tech found out I had very low amniotic fluid and it was decided I would have to go in to labor. I choose to have her all natural and was induced at 10:30 dealing with contractions for the first time was no fun.

In August Novalee Started third grade and Natalee started Kindergarten, its incredible how fast time flies.

Natalee played soccer for Spanish Fork for the first time, it was great starting my girls in sports.

In November my little Novalee was baptized. I cant believe how fast 8 years have gone by. I was so proud of her for making the choice to be baptized. She is such an amazing girl and I love her so much.

Novalee started basketball in the winter and will have her first game in January.

I am learning to embrace all the changes and look forward to the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
